Quentin.

A

1- Georges fell off the ladder while he was painting the ceiling. (Pourquoi to fall off et non To fall?)

2- Last night I read in bed when suddenly I heard a scream. (Réflexe: après last night ou last summer je mets toujours le prétérit).

3- Were you watching television when I phoned you?

4- Ann was waiting for me when I arrived.

5- I wasn't driving very fast when the accident happenned

6- I broke a plate last night. I was doing the washing-up when it sliped out of my hand.

7- Tom took a photograph of me while I wasn't looking

8- We didn't go out because it was raining.

9- What did you do at this time yesterday? (J'hésite beaucoup..)

10- I saw Carol at the party. She was wearing a really beautiful dress.

B

The programme was getting interesting, too. But the electricity came on again after about ten minutes.

I didn't miss very much of it.

Sarah was coming down the stairs when the lights went out. She almost fell over (Elle est presque tombée, elle a failli tomber, je ne comprends pas cette phrase).

Tom and I were playing at the time.

I was working at my computer. When it happened, I stopped work and went to bed.

1- The train was waiting when we arrived

2- Ella was having a puncture when she drove on the motorway.

3- When I tried the pudding, I liked it.

4- When Karen lifted the chair, she felt a sudden pain in her back.

5- When the gates opened, the crowd was walking in.

6- I was reading a library book, when I found a £10 note between two pages.

E

1- The phone was ringing, when I had a shower.

2- It was beginning to rain when I walked home

3- We saw an accident when we waited for the bus (dans cette phrase je n'arrive pas à me dire que c'est peut-être "We were seeing').

1- Georges fell off the ladder while he was painting the ceiling. (Pourquoi to fall off et non To fall?)

2- Last night I was reading in bed when suddenly I heard a scream.

3- Were you watching television when I phoned you? OK

4- Ann was waiting for me when I arrived.OK

5- I wasn't driving very fast when the accident happened. OK

6- I broke a plate last night. I was doing the washing-up when it slipped out of my hand. OK

7- Tom took a photograph of me while I wasn't looking OK

8- We didn't go out because it was raining. OK

9- What were you doing at this time yesterday? (J'hésite beaucoup..) Et tu avais raison ! ;)

10- I saw Carol at the party. She was wearing a really beautiful dress. OK

I didn't miss very much of it. OK

Sarah was coming down the stairs when the lights went out. She almost fell over = Elle a failli tomber, je ne comprends pas cette phrase. Au contraire, tu l'as parfaitement comprise.

Tom and I were playing at the time. OK

I was working at my computer when it happened, I stopped work and went to bed. OK

1- The train was waiting when we arrived.

2- Ella <was having> had a puncture when she was driving on the motorway. Toujours distinguer l'action brève de l'action longue. Une crevaison se produit brutalement.

3- When I tried the pudding, I liked it.

4- When Karen lifted the chair, she felt a sudden pain in her back. OK

5- When the gates opened, the crowd <was walking> walked in. Les 2 actions sont simultanées.

6- I was reading a library book, when I found a £10 note between two pages. OK

E

1- The phone <was ringing> rang, when I <had> was having a shower. ;)

2- It was beginning to rain when I walked home. OK

3- We saw an accident when we <waited> were waiting for the bus (dans cette phrase je n'arrive pas à me dire que c'est peut-être "We were seeing'). Non.
