Fiona.

'Exchanges are probably the best way to learn a language'

Write a few lines to on this idea. you can use your personal experience and the situation from this story.

I think so. The best way to learn a language is exchanges. I'm impatient to go in Brighton with my teatcher, I could speak with the family who will receive me. So I'm going to improve my English.

The main advantages of studying in a foreign country is that we are totally immersed in the country, for example in England. We are received by a family and their children, so we have to introduce ourselves in English and ask questions about the country.

It is interesting to learn about local culture (food, habits for example).

Generally our teacher plan to visit monuments in the country, so we discover the history of the city and the country. (We are going to do that in a few weeks in Brighton).

Then when we come back home, we can exchange a few emails about our life. The English student correct us and we correct his/her French.

I'd like to have a pen pal.

However I think that it is necessary to read English articles in a library like the magazine 'Vocable' or listen to the BBC radio on a computer. We may also watch a few films in original version.

In the text Kevin and Jean-François didn't watch a film, but they spoke about football. It's good to have hobbies and intersts in commun.

To conclude there are different ways to improve and learn a language. I agree that exchanges are probably the best way to learn a language.

Fiona.

Good job. :)
