En deuxième partie les autres questions et mes réponses, puis en troisième partie mon petit essay. J'aime le thème de l'échange car après les vacances je pars à Brighton pendant quatre jours pour un échange. Je vous remercie tous de votre correction. Fiona. Comprehension. Answer these questions on the beginning of the story 1)Name the different characters and give their relationships The different characters on the beginning of the story are Sarah, Kevin and their mother. Sarah and Kevin are brother and sister. Sarah is Kevin's sister and Kevin is Sarah's brother. they are both foorteen. Their mother is here, she participates about their discussion, they speak all of them (or together). Miss Evans is the secondary character who is Kevin and Sarah's teacher. 2)When and where does the story take place? First the story takes place at Sarah and Kevin's house at the end of the summer term. Then it takes place at school. 3)What is the discussion about? Sarah, Kevin and their mother talk about subjects which they have to choose for their future exam. They will take their O'Level next year. Sarah is enthusiastic and tries to convince Kevin to choose a foreign laguage. French should be very interesting because they are going to do an exchange whith a French school next year. She asks her mother to persuade Kevin, but Kevin doesn't make an effort, he thins that French people all speak English. Sarah explains him that she will choose two subjects like Physics and Chemistry whereas she's not good at them. The most subject they choose, the most they could pass their exams. She shows him that she makes an effort. So she asks her brother to how he will do if he won't be able to speak French with French students. 4)What are the two reasons why it is a good idea to study French? Firstly studying French is a good idea according to her mother it should be better to take as many subjects as possible, because they don't know now what they will want to study later. Seconcdly an exchange with a French school is organized next year. They will be able to speak with French students. 5)What does Mrs Evans want the children to do before the French students arrive? Before the French students arrive, Mrs Evans would like them to organize (to plan) the French student's visit. She needs to find one or several families who could lodge two French students. She asks for Sarah's help. Sarah is really happy (je cherche un synonyme d'enthousiaste, j'ai déjà utilisé 'enthusiastic). She would like to receive at home a student. Miss Evans wants the children to contact their friends' parents in order to find some accomodation. She wants them to do a list 6)Find how many students Mrs Johnson will receive and give their name. Matt a friend of Sarah and Kevin is ready to help Mrs Evans. Matt and Sarah talk about the number of places they found. Matt has found places for seven students, unfortunately Sarah has only found five places. Suddenly Mrs Johnson came and saw the list. She proposed to lodge two students in her house. So Mrs Johnson will receive two students called Jean-François and Valérie. 7)How did things go when the students arrived? Six weeks later the students arrived. Jean-François spoke good English and most of all he was found in football. it was a great surprise for Kevin who loves football too. Unfortunately Kevin broke his ankle, What a pity! Then Valérie, the French girl didn(t speak a lot and looked unhappy, sad.

Il me semble que mon frère a un tableau sur les moments de la journée qui changent. Fiona. Comme à ton habitude, c'est du bon travail. "next year" du discours direct devient "the year after" au discours rapporté.
