Mon résumé: This document is an interview between a journalist and a doctor. It deals with dementia and her consequences. First of all, journalist give us a large definition of dementia but he specifies that diagnosis must be confirmed by a specialist. Secondly, doctor presents dementia’s problem. Indeed, he asks what is the right attitud to adopt with patient. According to him, it is recommended to tell true to patients and his « entourage » because they would accept better disease. 70% refuse diagnosis but they admit to observe dysfunctions. Then, he takes Alice’s example : his husband was crasy (insane) and unfortunately she wasn’t supported by her family, her friends. This situation is frequent. Ton conclure, this disease is difficult to accept by patients, family and society because it is bad perceived. Have a nice day, Annabelle.
  2. Bonjour à toutes et à tous, J'ai une dernière écoute. Je n'ai fait que cela ce weekend écouter, écouter et encore écouter! voici avec ma retranscription entre un journaliste et un médecin je crois, J for journalist et D for Doctor. Je vous remercie beaucoup. voici ma retrancription: J-”Having a ……dementia…We heard about the classic symptoms of the condition that can help a doctor to make a diagnosis with patient, but many... ..in a progressively... cure of course! It’s extremely difficult to know the part what/that had it (their loved one tell they have it)…reality believed that....Now that they had it Can someone make plans for the future and the wider Community Hospital!?.... Is there a general guide/guidance within the Medical profession what doctors should do tell or not tell her patients.” D-” My feelings are they are better off knowing and it's usually seems to be the case that when you tell somebody they got dementia they're able to handle it reasonably well.” J- “But you have sympathy with relatives perhaps like Alice who just fell it will be too upsetting for their loved ones”. D- “Yes, I think we can’t ….. is also difficult for doctors to tell people any bad news and in particular this sort of bad news. the figures that was usually given a set of 70 to 80% of people when they're asked: What/Would you want to tell your relatives the diagnosis they say no but having said that a different question………..if you have dementia would you want to know then the same proportion 70% say yes of course we want to know if there's something wrong with us” J-” Is this general guidance within the Medical Profession about what doctors should do?” D-”The general guidance from the medical council about …...that they require in a way that then able to understand the way it works best for me is when I’ve gone to see them for the initial assessment and I asked them what they would like to know once we've done all of our tests if we're able to tell the more information what exactly they would how much they would like to know about that and that seems to be better than trying to trust a diagnosis upon them ….even ensure whether they want to shut down” J-”And Alice was saying how...shut down ..daughters..friends…………………...support.” D- “Yes, that’s certainly a story that I’ve heard before but I’ve never seen a patient this week I've been seen for about 3 or 4 years and It's always been extremely open about its darkness….. a little cards… the ….society...show people what problem is” J-”.............What the problem is everyone to decide……” D-”I think so. This is partly because if we can't even talk about this disease if it has so much stigma attached to it it's just going to add to the burden of having me the underlying disease underlying disease you also have all these terrible negative attitudes from everybody, everybody you come across. Just being human lead truthful helps” D-”..... thank you very much indeed Annabelle. AUDIO 09a Dementia_dilemma_to_tell_or_not_to_tell - version intégrale.mp3

    Social media essay

Bonjour, J'ai un essai à faire sur les social media, voilà la question et ce que j'ai écrit: Essay: Should governments regulate social media? In October 2020, M. Zuckerberg declared on a speech in Georgetown University, to refusing impose control on Facebook, and standing for free speech. However, social media need to stay a tolerable place, and the only other actor who can regulate it are governments. Should governments regulate social media? Most people think that social media need to be regulated, and if the directions of the platforms don’t want to do it, governments have the right to regulate it. In fact, regulate social media can be view as the protection of the people (for example, protection against shocking contents), and in this case, regulate social media is not a right, but a duty for governments. For instance, in France, government impose an age to get an account on social media, to protect them from inappropriate content. But if governments regulate social media, it can create problems in certain states, especially in democracies, because they also defend freedom of speech. In this case, governments have to fix a limit between freedom of speech and censorship to regulate social media, but it’s a difficult task. For example, Pablo Hasél, a Spanish singer was jailed the last month because he insulted police forces and the monarchy on Tweeter. As regard the situation, his incarceration was not a strict regulation on social media, but a way to prevent people from publishing anything on social media. But the Spanish government, which claims freedom of speech, was accused of censorship. To respond to the problem statement, government should regulate media but at the same time fixe a limit to not encroach on freedom of speech. Merci pour votre correction, bonne soirée, Léonie.
