Bonsoir à tous, alors voilà j'ai un oral en anglais, si vous pourriez me corriger merci !

Hello! Today, I'm going to talk about "How has Britain changed? I'm going to talk about "how Britain has changed", which is part of the idea of "progress": first of all, progress is an improvement or change in technology or science, for example. Although many people use the terms United Kingdom, Britain and England interchangeably, there is a difference between them: one is a country, the second is an island, and the third is part of an island. With an area of 209,331 km2 , Great Britain is the largest of the British Isles, the largest European island and the ninth largest island in the world. In 2018, Great Britain had a population of approximately 68 million, making it the third most populated island in the world. Great Britain consists of 3 countries: England, Scotland and Wales.
First of all, in Great Britain, there is cultural progress with the London Marathon, festivals like the Notting hills carnival or festival number 6. There are 700 music festivals a year. Great Britain has invented many sports and is responsible for the rules of world sport. They have organised the Olympic Games in 2012. So it is a consumer society, and people are materialistic. So even in sport, we can talk about progress. For me, there are two reasons. Firstly, because sport has evolved over the years, sport has modernised, particularly in England. And secondly, because sport brings people together, whether they are from the same culture or not.  For me, there is an evolution of tolerance through sport. comment revaloriser le côté British ici ?
To what extent is today's British cuisine influenced by its multicultural population? / How much is today’s British cuisine influenced by its multicultural population? Je peux poser cette question à l’oral ?

So/more We have all heard about traditional British dishes such as fish and chips, roast beef and yorkshire pudding, roast lamb and mint sauce, bacon and eggs, but British cuisine is changing. If you walk around London, you'll be amazed at the amount of foreign restaurants - Thai, Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Indian...
Thanks to globalisation, traditional British cuisine is being reinvented and new dishes are appearing on menus. On the positive side, the food is more interesting, colourful, tasty and inventive than before, we are interested in other cultures and foreign products are increasingly available in supermarkets. However, globalization may be responsible for today's bad eating habits - the rise of fast food and the problems of obesity. It may also cause a problem for the environment as more and more products are being imported and flown around the world. Demand is being created for products that we don't necessarily need!) est ce que cette partie en parenthèse peut se mettre ici ou à la fin ?

Secondly, there are also advances in architecture with St. Paul's Cathedral in London, which is located in the City of London, the historic heart of the city that is now London's main business district. Furthermore there has been progress with London which has changed dramatically in the last 30 years, the skyline of London used to be made up of small low-rise buildings whereas today it is full of massive, shiny skyscrapers. Indeed, some of the best views of London may change because more than 250 skyscrapers are under construction or planned, but London doesn't have enough of them. What's more, new skyscrapers are too expensive for the average Londoner and are only for the wealthy 1°/°.  But some people think we are sacrificing London's skyline for a result that does not benefit the whole city. But I think it's a good thing because the architecture of these new buildings is so beautiful, especially the skyscrapers the SHard and the Gherkin.

Finally, there is progress in politic, indeed, with Mrs Thathcer, who was thefirst british conservative woman prime minister from 1979 until 1990, she prevailed a liberal policy. Many social achievements are being suppressed, particularly in the fields of health and education. All the reforms undertaken increased the country's productivity and favoured investors, but they also reinforced social inequalities ; Before Margaret Thatcher, The economy was based on manufacture with high taxes, Isn't it incredibly unfair to tax hem ? Before Margaret Thatcher, there was a quite low unemployment, but after margaret thathcer ; after that there was a high unemployment and the economy based on consumerism, with low taxes.
To sum up, I think progress is a benefit beacause the worlds need progress to evolve, without progress the world can't be imrove. People's minds are always changing. New inventions appear such as in architecture with new buildings. New events are created such as festivals and olympic games. But sometimes progress can be bad with the rise of tuition fees. So progress is often a good thing but sometimes people have different points of view. And this is part of the reason for the brexit, because if Great Britain/UK, je ne sais pas lequel des deux ?   leaves the European Union, knowing that it pays billions of pounds a year in EU membership fees, then EU membership prevents Britain from taking full advantage of international trade with economies like Japan, India and the US. On top of this, better international trade agreements and more selective immigration could have a positive effect on the UK labour market. In addition, the average person in Britain loses hundreds of pounds each year due to policies regarding VAT contributions and agricultural subsidies.

Merci
