"The" semble facultatif , il s'agit bien de l'oral .

- Tuesday, September the fourth twenty eighteen in British English

or - Tuesday, September fourth twenty eighteen in American English <<( As Mamy pointed out, the definite article "the" can be left out)

Remember you can still say the year the "old-fashioned way" >> two thousand and eighteen, of course!
