Bonjour c'est Stan, Ma professeur a donné un travail sans consignes sur "Being British". Nous n'avons rien travaillé auparavant. Mon travail est juste commencé. Stan.

Voici mon travail:

I The feeling to be a member of a big country which has dominated History in the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century.

II However....being British it's also living in a country which can seem isolated and threatened in its integrity.

Being British?....What can it mean?....

Hum....First, Being British, it's living in Great Britain.

But, living in Great-Britain is a bit vagueness, isn't it? Don't you have, many cultures in this country?

Certainly, let me explain you this notion.

To begin, it should be remembered that Great Britain, this big, powerful, and dominant country, is an association of 3 smaller country which are Wales, Scotland and England. We can,sometimes, call them region of Great Britain, but, in my opinion, it's more intelligent to call them country because they are really different together and they have their own culture, their own traditions and,even, their own Rugby team. Moreover, some tensions persist between these small country and more precisely between Scotland and England. Everybody know the wish of Scotland to be independent...

But, if we want to be more precise and to give a definition of being British, I think we can say that it's,first, the feeling to be a member of a big country which has dominated History in the 19th century and a the beginning of the 20th century. However, we can, also, say that being British it's living in a country which can seem isolated and threatened in its integrity.

Cependant voici ma liste d'idées que j'avais faite auparavant et que je mettrai en anglais plus tard.

pays insulaire mais qui n'a pas été envahi par Napoléon : - domination

de la flotte britannique ( victoire de l'Amiral Nelson en 1805 à

Trafalgar ) "fighting spirit"

- waterloo en 1815 qui constitue une victoire décisive des anglais et

des prussiens. GB au coeur de la coalition contre napoléon

domination économique et politique : politique expansionniste avec le

commonwealth ( il faudra développer un peu )

rôle important durant la première guerre mondiale et surtout la seconde

avec Winston Churchill qui est un grand artisan de la victoire

langue universellement parlée

partenaire privilégié des EU

patrimoine très riche et traditions mondialement connues

un pays qui peut paraître isolé et menacé dans son intégrité

si la GB appartient à l'UE, elle ne fait pas partie de la zone euro

le pays s'interroge sur le fait de demeurer dans l'UE ( vérifier quand

le référendum est prévu )

vélléités d'autonomie ou d'indépendance de certaines régions?(je ne suis pas sûr).

Je vous remercie beaucoup. Finalement je m'aperçois que j'ai fait des fautes inacceptables pour mon niveau 1ère. J'ai rédigé une suite sans m'alourdir sur l'histoire mais en parlant de Britishness. Bonne Journée Monsieur. Stan.
