Stanislas vous donne le bonjour et vous remercie de votre aide. J'ai une expression écrite à faire pour demain, je l'ai travaillée hier soir et vous la tape. Merci d'avance Fiona.

Sujet: How do you imagine ideal parents?

First of all parents play a major role in children's life. To me the criteria for ideal parents consist of four qualities: nice behaviour, reasonable attitude in education, love and affection, congratulations and responsability.

In my opinion, ideal parents should encourage and teach children to do the right things and avoid the wrong things (incredibly stupid things). they would also teach them to respect our elders, our family and the socity members. As a teenager I was sometimes prejudicied against top models or football players.An ideal parent would educate his child to become a nice person. They would have to convince us to repect others.

Then it's important to listen to their children and urging them to express their point of view. Unfortunatelay it happens that children argue with them over things instead to talk about them. It would be wonderful if we were able to get on with our parents. If parents have an argument with each other, children may lose their belief in family and life. It also could create feeling of insecurity. That's why ideal parents must behave in order for their kids to do same. For example, when a child acts in a harmful manner, ideal parents would tell him that such behaviour is unacceptable.

In addition, ideal parents would deal with their children as friends. I imagine them express love and affection. For example they would give them encouragement, appreciation in order to improve their confidence. Confidence is essential, ideal parents would allow their chidren to go to the cinema with friends, it would be great.

Ideal parents shouldn't forget to give them a lot of hugs and some kisses.

Afterwards, it would be necessary that ideal parents have the sense of humour to laugh. they would understand our jokes which are not disrepectful.

Moreover it would be important that ideal parents praise their children. It's unpleasant to be compared to others, especially siblings. Children could not succeed in studying if ideal parents have to congrulate them even if they have a good mark.

Finally, ideal parents should encourage responsability by giving children jobs or chores to do. they coul give them some money for example. As a teenager I think it's important to have more responsabilities and have confidence in them. The most important is an atmosphere of mutual repect.

Bonsoir Monsieur, Effectivement il est un peu tard mais la charge de travail que nous avons dans les autres matières est épuisante. J'en arrive parfois à me lever plus tôt pour préparer des DM pour le lendemain. Stan est épuisé mais lui est en Européenne et les cours sont intensifs, comme il dit.
