Many factories have clodes like LU. The unemployment is still rife in Calais. Many persons go out the city to find a job. We've built some infrastructures like a swimming-pool, a disco, librairies, to welcome and satisfy the inhabitants. The number of supermarkets has doubled. Pollution has doubled too with the increase of means of transport. Publicities have invaded the city, wasting the landscapes. Since the openning of the tunnel under the Manche, economy has increased. Tourists have permitted the stimulation of economy which was weakened. Hotels and restaurants were set up to welcome them. Calais became the first travellers french carriage and the second travellers world carriage with the construction of the tunnel under the Manche. We think to build an ice-rink swimming-pool soon.
