" What does the word « hero » mean to you ?

I think the word “hero” has very evolved since the Antiquity. Indeed, in this era, an hero was the person who was half god and half man.

Whereas today, there are a lot of heroes : actors of serial, great sportive on newspaper … the heroes have changed to face.

Nowadays , as far as I’m concerned, the hero is someone who defends, the other’s interest before his own interest . Moreover, I think this person would certainly stay unknown.

“I have a dream…” Martin Luther king said , for me, is this man is more than a hero. Indeed, this man bite against the narrow minded society of the United States. (And I think his action will stay in people’s spirit )

Furthermore, for me, is Gandhi a hero too. In my opinion, it was a very important man who fought, without violence, for the independence of his country: India. This idea of “no- violence” has to grown in our world of “ free- violence”.

Moreover, for me, my grand father is a hero. Even if this man has make many wars such as Indochina war, he has known many difficulties…. The most important thing for me, is what he did during the world war two. Actually, In 1942, he has informed his best friend ,David, of the German raid and helped this family to escape to these monsters.

That’ s why I think he is a hero…

- They are brave, they save people.

- They sacrifice their lives, are generous

- They are as courageous as French doctors or people working in relief organisations.
