bonjour, est ce que quelqu'un pourrait lire et voir s'il y a des fautes dans le texte que j'ai préparé pour mon oral d'anglai. Je sais que c'est long et je vais donc faire des fiches pour apprendre. Merci pour votre aide.

This year, we studied the concept of spaces and exchanges. To illustrate this notion, I would mainly like to talk about immigration to developped countries. A lot of people crossed the borders to experiment democracy or to start a new life. We can ask is immigration a problem or a solution? I'm going to use migrations to the United States and european countries because they have always been receptions area for immigrants. In a first part, I will talk about immigration to Europe, which can lead to debates. The second part will show the standpoint of the United States facing of immigration.

Large-scale immigration to Western Europe is recent. The United Kingdom and France are among the countries where the influx has been the most important. We watched a news report in which a BBC team has been on board the biggest NGO ship in the region run by Doctors Without Borders. We heard that, in the sea from Libya to Europe, more than two thousand people died in 2017. Men, women and children are desperate crowd onto small boats in the hope of reaching Europe. Doctors are just here to save lives, they're not policemen. Sometimes they're not doctors, but people with bad intentions, we call them smugglers. Refugees don't only come from Libya, some of them come from Syria. We studied a list of figures on syrian refugees and we noticed that this country is the first country of origin for Refugees who come to Europe. More than half of the population left their home to take refuge in Europe for a better life. Germany, France, Sweden, Turkey, Italy are european countries who received most asylium applications. In the press article ''migration is now a major fear for over half of Britons'' by Ian Drury, we understand that the number of migrants is unrestricted, unlimited, uncontroled and keeps growing and this is a problem for british people. 20000 syrians were welcomed in 2015, for UK this isn't enough. The country is more and more concern about immigration. Immigration is constantly portrayed as the source of many problems.Statistics indicated that 13% of inhabitants in the UK are foreign-born. Britain remains the country where immigration is reported as the most significant worry. But, there are still many people who protest against European migration politics and support immigrants.

In the USA, since the 19th century, border monitoring is on the increase. Illegal immigration coming from mexico is a difficult problem for the USA. In the Caricature of patrick chappatte, "U.S will build border fence" there is a big brick wall which represents the future border between Mexico and the United States, it would prevent all human mobility, and will only involve commercial transactions. Because of the American dream and many oppotunities, Mexicans leave their country. The United States is synonymous with freedom but the construction of the wall show us the opposite. Trump, the actual president of the US wants to finish the project of building a wall. The decision to build a wall between Mexico and the United States is not the only one. Some former immigrants from Mexico were expelled. We read a newspaper article that tells the story of Jorge Garcia. This man lived for 30 years in the United States. When he was a child, his family came as immigrants without papers from Mexico. Because of the Trump administration's crackdown on undocumented immigrants, Garcia was ordered to return to Mexico.Yet, when Barack Obama was president, he spoke about the need for an immigration reform and made a proposal during a speech. Immigration laws are strict in USA. So Barack Obama wanted immigrants to get lawyers so that they could become legal citizens because immigrants are an important part of American society.

Finally, we have seen that immigrants leave their countries for many reasons. For them, immigrating to another country is a solution. They hope for a better life. But for many people, immigration is a real problem and fear of some countries. Many immigrants are victims of racism and are not always accepted. However, in the United States, they will have to continue to live while keeping in mind that the "American Dream" is ultimately just a dream. The country's policy towards immigration evolved over time and became more and more restrictive. The immigration regime is more liberal in Europe, and international human rights and migrant associations advocate easy access to the right of asylum.
