Je vous le donne ici, pour que ceux qui le veulent me corrigent. Merci, bonne soirée. The biggest minority group In the first place, there are the Hispanics, who are mostly Mexicans, otherwise they are Portuguese. The Hispanics have transformed America on the one hand with their language and culture and on the other hand with their dynamism and their diversity. In 1900 they were 500,000, now 43 billion and in 50 years they could represent 25% of the inhabitants of America. However, Mexicans and Puerto Ricans are the least fortunate because they are low-paid in agriculture and services. Their migration is linked to their former territories such as California, New Mexico, Arizona Texas and Colorado, which became American territories in 1848, Puerto Rico became one in 1898. Secondly, other Hispanics came voluntarily to the USA, for example Cubans settled mainly in Florida for political reasons, others for the political and economic instability of their country, or else to accomplish the "American dream". Indeed, these groups are particularly better placed economically than the Mexicans and the Puerto Ricans. In closing, we can say that Latinos have had a positive impact on America through their language, food, style and entertainment that are changing the American way of life.
