Lebailly Posté(e) le 5 mai 2016 Signaler Posté(e) le 5 mai 2016 Bonjour ou bon soir j'aurais besoin d'une correction pour ma notion s'il vous plait. Merci d'avance. I’m going to talk about the notion of places and forms of power. In politics and social science, power is the ability to influence the behavior of people. In order to live together members of a community accept rules, regulations and laws. This helps to create social cohesion but can also lead to conflicts and tensions. Even when authority seems absolute, there are always counter-powers which question it, aim at limiting its excesses and resist it. So we may ask ourselves the question: We may wonder to what extent the media manage to manipulate us? First I’m going to explain powers of words, in the second time I will focus on the media and advertising. Powers of well-chosen words have the power to inform, influence, educate and entertain others. Words can evoke rich images of inner and outer emotions through different ways of communication. Their powers are expressed effectively and emotionally in. Words are what we use to express our self, our thoughts and our feelings. We use words in every walk of our lives and hence the power of words is immense and powerful. The impact of words on different people varies because it depends on their understanding and in what manner they conceive it. In general, when people want to communicate and express themselves, they use words. Words can influence us in many ways such as in making us happy, sad, emotional etc and have impact on us in many ways such as influencing and changing lives. On the start, we use words to influence or even change people lives, but words can sometimes hurt grievously and scar for a long time. But words once spoken cannot be erased. Unmeant words spoken can have devastating effect in someone’s existence. Words can be very powerful when you are interacting with other people. If you choose the wrong word, it may be misinterpreted for something that is very insulting, even if that was not the way you meant for it to sound. However, if you choose the right words when interacting with other people, you could develop great friendships that may last a lifetime. Words can also be very influential when you are interacting with other people. The kind of words you choose can influence how well someone’s day goes. Your words can make other people sad, mad, happy, or excited. Thanks to technological progress, citizens now have at their disposal the internet, Smartphones and computers that enable them to film and post what they witness of on various websites. This particularly used during protests, as citizens can use it to check police behavior. The press is considered as the fourth power in the United States, as journalists can influence political life by exposing scandals and disclosing information. If we look at the power of the media for example we can see how much it can influence the public opinion. The mass media plays an important role in forming our personality, enriching our knowledge, providing us with information of any kind. Mass media can have an effect on our personal identity: it can help us to feel that we are part of a group like social networks but on the other hand it can contribute to a feeling of isolation. Media can have a strong political influence or can shape the way we perceive certain groups of society. Mass media is powerful because it makes us believe what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior like reality TV. We can make a link between the notion and the text “The power of advertising” studied in class. Advertising is everywhere. In the movies we watch TV, on the internet, everywhere we look, whatever we do, be it watching TV, working with, or surfing on the internet, we are assailed by unwanted commercial messages. The people responsible for regulating the media have come under the influence of the advertising industry. They have concentrated their attention exclusively on revenue and profit. To conclude, we can say that media are a reliable source of information although generally they do not have a neutral opinion. It is therefore necessary to some extent analyze and sort information. The media is all around us, either for sale or to let. With new technology you can learn everywhere but I think the media are hiding a lot of things and give us their own versions of things. For media information only go in one direction we can’t discuss the subject as said Peter Watkins is the Monoform is understood but can’t be heard at the same level as the media.

Sans doute, mais telle que tu l'as rédigée [For media information only go in one direction we can’t discuss the subject as said Peter Watkins is the Monoform is understood but can’t be heard at the same level as the media] ta conclusion est quasi incompréhensible, d'où mes points d'interrogation et autres smileys perplexes. Reformule-la.

For media information only go in one direction we can’t discuss the subject, as said Peter Watkins it’s the Monoform gives no time for interaction, reflection or questioning. The Monoform is designed to entrap, to catch and hold the attention of the public. It is organised to create pre-determined responses and reactions. For me the media is handling, it does yours to people to detect the profound truth of things and to question what we are told and do not believe everything stupidly.
