I started watching the episode by keeping in mind that the end is not going to be happy one. This episode being the last episode of Dexter had a heap of expectations from audience. The way of telling the story, the background score, no hallucinations of Harry, no unwanted scenes, made this episode a perfect one. I was amused to see the way Dexter killed Oliver Saxon. By the point of view of other characters, that would've been Dexter's first kill. The cold blooded pressing of the alarm as well as Dexter's fine explanation to save himself left Batista confused. I even liked the way Hannah escapes from private detective, making him unconscious. My emotions started to boil when Dexter took brain dead Debra out of the hospital to his boat, I was expecting someone to catch him. But that didn't happen. My eyes were flooded the moment Dexter gave his Debra burial at sea. I was holding my flooded eyes until Dexter called Hannah and then later on said, "I have destroyed everyone I love. I can't let that happen to Harrison, Hannah. I have to protect them, from... Me" I was shattered in tears after this and when Dexter took his boat into the storm. This continued for some time till they showed that dexter has faked his death and he is living as a lumberjack. This gave me a little support as Dexter, living to fulfil his life's cause. But I began to think, what would've been going on in the minds of other characters. Hannah: Her most loved person is dead and has only one hope to live. Harrison. Harrison: This poor kid lost his mother, was raised by his dad, then lost his dad. But he got a step mother who loves him more than anything. He now could never meet his Nani at least in adolescence as everyone is thinking that Dexter and Harrison die together in the boat. Batista: This guy's mind would seriously fucked up! Oliver killed by Dexter, brain dead Debra missing, Dexter and Harrison dying; All the instances that took place that day must have kept his mind fucked up for long time. Joey: He knew that Dexter killed Saxon on purpose. But as he wanted the same, he never did anything. I was in depression for a couple of hours, thinking how miserable a person would be who loves his son and wife so much fake his own death and live life alone. Everything was fucked up in my mind. But as I started to do my stuff, I recovered from the depression.
