Write a letter

Bonjour , je dois écrire une lettre en annonçant à mes parents que j'ai quitté le domicile familial : "Write a letter to your parents announcing that you have left". Je suis en terminale, le niveau attendu est le niveau B2. Voici mon devoir : 


On Monday , the 1st of August of 2015


Dear parents, 
To begin, I did not know how to tell you so I decided to write. I was scared of your reaction. With this letter, I want to announce my departure for New-York.I want to break free from the daily life, I am exhausted of doing the same thing every day so I applied in the art school of Manhattan and my application has been accepted, my skills are good. It is the chance of my life. This is how I will fulfill my dream.
As you can see, my room is empty. So, I left this morning. When you will read this letter, I will be in the plane. Everything is ok about housing and food. I will be completely autonomous. I won't do shopping every weekend and I promise I will take care of myself and have job in order to earn money.
I hope people and teacher will be good with me.

You can be pride of me. Don't worry and please don't cry. Everything will be alright for me. Just be happy. 

I'm waiting for you during the next holidays.

(*) Avec une principale à sens futur, la subordonnée circonstancielle de temps introduite par when/as soon as, etc. peut être au présent ou au present perfect mais jamais au futur. C'est à mémoriser.
