Bonsoir,

je souhaiterais que quelqu'un (s'il a le temps et la gentillesse) puisse me corriger mon résumé en anglais, s'il vous plaît. Je remercie d'avance ceux ou celles qui m'aideront.

J.p Morgan was born from a rich family, his father (Junius Spencer Morgan) was one of the first trader. Therefore he was raised to follow the same path. For that, he even went to a German University, the University of Göttingen.

At first Morgan went into banking in 1857, thanks to his father's influence he worked at the London branch of merchant banking. Eventually in 1871 with Anthnony J. Drexel as partner, he created his own firm, and during the Civil War he purchased defective rifles from the army to resold them at a higher price. After the death of his partner, his firm was renamed «J. P. Morgan & Company», soon enough he understood that the American economy was going to change. Then he began to invest in railroads, electricity … and by 1900, it was one of the most powerful banking houses of the world, focused especially on reorganizations and consolidations. And in 1895 when The Federal Treasury was nearly out of gold, he decided to save the U.S treasury by supplying 3,5 million ounces of gold in exchange for a 30-year bond issue. But J.P was shock, that he was randomly criticized by the medias, by the public and by the politicians. But a part of the criticism was well-founded. During the years 90, there was the boom of the coal industry, the person who most took advantage of this was J.P Morgan thanks to his monoly of the railroad. But the life of the coal miners was the poverty incarnated, they had to live in miseries in order to allow a faster economic grows, meanwhile J.P Morgan roll in money. Wich led to the coal miners battle, the coal miner stop to work and occupied the mines. J.P Morgan hadn't the choice but to give them a higher salary. Finally he has became an ennemy of President Roosevelt, a man who believed that America's greatest evil was too much power in the hands of corporate America. Then President Roosevelt decided to «fight» against this evil. By changing the trip of his firm train, he broke the monoly of railroad of J.P Morgan. But during the panic of 1907, he work together with J.P Morgan in order to save America Economy.

Finally Morgan died while traveling abroad in 1913, and in an honor usually reserved for heads of state, the stock market closed for two hours when his body passed through New York City. He was buried in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in his birthplace .

Sur ce je vous souhaite une bonne soirée.

Bonjour,

J.P Morgan was born from a rich family, his father (Junius Spencer Morgan) was one of the first traders. Therefore he was raised to follow the same path. For that, he even went to a German university, the University one of Göttingen.< le pronom évite la répétition du nom

At first Morgan went into banking in 1857, thanks to his father's influence he worked at the London branch of merchant banking. Eventually in 1871 with Anthnony J. Drexel as a partner, he created his own firm, and during the Civil War he purchased defective rifles from the army to resold resell them at a higher price. < Rappel : le but, afin de/pour + infinitif = to/in order to + BV.  After the death of his partner, his firm was renamed «J. P. Morgan & Company», soon enough he understood that the American economy was going to change. Then he began to invest in railroads, electricity … and by 1900, it was one of the most powerful banking houses of  in the world, focused especially on reorganizations and consolidations. And in 1895 when The Federal Treasury was nearly out of gold, he decided to save the U.S treasury by supplying 3,5 million ounces of gold in exchange for a 30-year bond issue. But J.P was shocked to read/learn/see/hear that he was randomly criticized by the medias, (by) the public and the politicians.  But a part of the criticism was well-founded. During the years 90, there was the boom of the coal industry, the person who most took advantage of this was J.P Morgan thanks to his monoly of the railroad. But the life of the coal miners' living condition was the poverty incarnated, they had to live in miseries on starvation wages in order to allow a faster economic grows growth meanwhile J.P Morgan was rolling in money. Wich Such a gap/discrepancy led to the coal miners battle, the coal miners stop to work stopped working and occupied the mines. < stop to work = s'arrêter pour/afin de travailler !  Attention à ce type de contresens. J.P Morgan hadn't the choice but to give them a higher salary. Finally he has became an ennemy of President Roosevelt, a man who believed that America's greatest evil was too much power in the hands of corporate America. < récit = prétérit Then President Roosevelt decided to «fight» against this evil. By changing the trip of his firm train, < c'est-à-dire ? :o he broke the monoly of railroad of J.P Morgan. But during the panic of 1907, he < qui ? Même si l'on comprend qu'il s'agit de Roosevelt, l'emploi du pronom est ambigu; dans ce cas, il faut donc reprendre le nom. worked together with J.P Morgan in order to save America's economy.

Finally Morgan died while traveling abroad in 1913, and in an honor usually reserved for heads of state, the stock market closed for two hours when his body passed through New York City. He was buried in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in his birthplace .

Bonsoir,

He broke the monpoly of railroad of J.P Morgan, by solding the Typhoon to the Nother Securities Compagny. This compagny goal was to to control Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad, since J.P Morgan attempted to take over these railroads to strengthen his monopoly.

Donc, pour rester en phase avec l'histoire à ce moment-là, tu pourrais dire quelque chose de simple comme Following the case won by the government, the Northern Securities Company railway trust was dissolved in 1904.
