noctali Posté(e) le 21 janvier 2015 Signaler Posté(e) le 21 janvier 2015 Bonjour, J'ai continué la suite de mon exposé. Auriez-vous l'immense gentillesse de me le corriger ? How does a judo session take place? The first thing to do when judokas enter a judo room (???) is to salute (bow?) the mat before going on it, the mat in judo is called "tatami". The session also begins with a salute. Salute (bow?)is a very important element in judo, it's a mark of respect. Then after a quick warm-up, judokas train and learn techniques or do judo matches. The session also finishes with a salute (bow ?). Judo techniques We can separate techniques in two categories : the technique of projection and the techniques of control. Projection techniques The goal of a projection technique is to put the opponent on the ground. There is a lot of techniques separate in different categories: leg or foot techniques, hip techniques, hand techniques and sacrifice techniques. A sacrifice technique is a technique in which the person who does the sacrifice lets him fall on the ground to throw his opponent. Control techniques The goal of a control technique is to maintain the opponent in a position which is difficult to him to leave. In the control techniques we also find "armlocks" and strangulations. The objective of an armlock is to press on the elbow joint. An armlock is very painful so it usually makes give up the opponent. The principle of the strangulations is the same : make give up the opponent. In theory these techniques aren't used before the green belt because they can be dangerous if they are badly made. A judo match is called a randori. A randori lasts two or three minutes for the juniors and five minutes for the seniors or for Olympic competition. There are different weight divisions as in all martial sports. How to win a randori ? In judo it's possible to win very quickly. You only need an ippon, which corresponds to one full point, to win. There are several ways to have an ippon. The first is to throw the opponent on his back with force and speed. The second is to maintain the opponent on his back for more than 25 seconds. It's also possible to win if the opponent gives up or is disqualified. A judoka can be disqualified if he doesn't respect the rules. After four penalties, called shidos the judoka in the wrong (fautif?) looses the match. A judoka is also disqualified if he hurts his opponent. Except the ippon, there are two another points, waza-ari which corresponds to an half point and yuko which is the lowest point. A judoka can get one of these two points if the technique is good but not enough powerful to have an ippon. At the end of judo match, if there is no ippon, the highest score wins. Merci beaucoup pour votre aide précieuse.
