Bonjours à tous,

Je prépare actuellement mon oral d'anglais, je n'ai pas un niveau exceptionnel en anglais c'est pourquoi je souhaiterai que quelqu'un puisse m'aider à corriger les fautes les plus importantes qui seront assez fatales lors de l'oraux du bac.

The notion I'm going to deal with is''Myths and Heroes''.

To start with, i'd like to give a definition of Myth and Heroes.

A myth can be defined as a story about gods or heroes, it can be a popular belief or a tradition.

A hero can be a fiction figure or a real person. Heroes are admired for their achievements, often they are models or icons.

To what extent can we say that people have always heroes during their lives?

My presentation will fall into 3 parts :

Fist of all, i will concentrate on the presence of myths and heroes in the children's life.

Then I will be interested in the presence of myhs and heroes in the adult's life.

Finally I will say a few words about the usefulness of having a hero.

First, when we are young, myths and heroes are part and pared of our childhood, this is an entertainment;

Indeed, our parents tell and read us stories or tales. For instance, many children are kind of Cinderella and Robin Hood. They are models, sometimes young people picture oneself to be in their place: moreover many girl gets smartly dressed as princesses. Doubtlessly, Heroes catch the eyes of children.Therefore children have always an heroe.

Then adults also have heroes, usually real people.

For instance, many people admire Coluche. He founded the "Restos du cœur" charity, that are helping many wealthy person or in difficulty. The telethon, unicef​​, or other associations are admired by bountiful people.

Adults watch numerous series, they become attached to the characters, they feel affection for them.

Finally, myths and heroes allow adults and children to flee and to escape their lives.

Sometimes myhtes allow to forget problems, wars, violences, poverty or hunger in the world (such tales). At other times some heroes reminds these problem to help the disadvantaged people.

Myths and heroes are needed in the life of any individuals, they sometimes create links (when two people with

the same hero meets)

I'd like to end by saying that, to my mind : Each had at least a hero, a model in their life.

I strongly believer that there is no be of age for love heroes and myths. And I want to emphasize this

because I think it's worth it.

…in (Ø) children’s lives. … in (Ø) adults’ lives. Ils ne sont déterminés en aucune façon. Tu as tout intérêt à potasser ce point de grammaire.

I'd like to end by saying that, to my mind each one/person/individual had at least a hero, a model in their lives.

I strongly believer that there is no be of age for to love heroes and myths.

IDEA OF PROGRESS

The notion I'm going to deal with is ''Idea of Progress''.

To start with, i'd like to give a definition of Idea of Progress :

The Idea of progress can be defined as a development or a change a technical, scientific or social advance which contribute to making the world a better place.

To what extent can we say that scientific progress have advantages and drawback?

My presentation will fall into 3 parts :

Fist of all, i will concentrate on the advantages of scientific progress.

Finally Iwill be interested in the drawback of scientific progress.

Finally I will say a few words about associations which contribute to this progress.

First, During the centuries, a lot of scientific breakthrough took place. Indeed, doctors, geneticists and biologists try to fight against the diseases. This progress is outstandig insofar as they aim at improving the life expectancy and living condition of each individu. For example, couple can't have children naturally can have a healthy child thanks to the PGD (Preimplantation genetic diagnosis) now. Transplants can also take place, when people possess a weak or defective organ. These discoveries can be considered as advantages, however it is really?

Then, this breakthrough can have a drawback, Indeed needy who live in dire straits have necessarily no access to all this progress. Their income are so low. It created disparities between the needy and wealthy. The people always try to have the best babie. We may wonder if one day, they will not seek to have a designer baby . The scientific progress can sometimes raise some ethic question. Sometimes progress have drawback.

Finally, Associations contribute to this scientific progress. Indeed, they allow to finance the research thanks to the donation of unknown person. They are numerous and take part in the worlwide.

I'd like to end by saying that, to my mind : scientific progress have more advantage than drawback provided that they are used to lawful and decent way. People must learn to use their discovery of relevant way, otherwise an advantage become a drawback.

Space and Exchanges

The notion I'm going to deal with is ''Spaces and exchanges'.

To start with, i'd like to give a definition of Space ans Exchanges :

This notion deals with the geographical and symbolic areas that all societies occupy ans the interaction between this different societies.

To what extent can we say that men always seem to need to travel ?

My presentation will fall into 2 parts :

Fist of all, i will concentrate on Pilgrims Father.

Then I will be interested on the people in today's world.

First, The men seem for a long time to need to travel (for different reason: social, political, economique, environmental.). Take the example of Pilgrims (also called pilgrins fathers). The pilgrins were a group who left England on September 1620 on board The Mayflower. They were persecuted in Europe for their religions beliefs. They wanted to live somewhere where they could be free and peacefull. When the Pilgrims arrived, the Indians accept their, but they went so far as to help them. If the Indians had not taught the Pilgrims ,they would have all starved to death.

In this example we can see that in the 17th century already, people sometimes needed to move, to change countries, continents.

Then, nowaday the individuals have more and more need to move, to travel (for their business or their studies);

Many students leave abroad to improve their language. They need a good level for their futur job. Leave abroad seems the best solution to improve our knowledge.

Then in thelabour market, many business men must travel. Indeed, many undertaking export and imports in the worlwide.(it is the phenomenon of globalization).

To have to leave its home country to speak a usually language allows of better prospect future, and allows to climb the social ladder. It thus allows to make better the living. It's a tasty concession to make a living seldom.

I'd like to end by saying that, to my mind : For a long time the people travel and need to travel as the pilgrims and students. We were also able to see that to travel has important advantages. However, currently all the craft require to speak one foreigner languages ? To travel?

The notion I'm going to deal with is Place and Form of Power

To start with, i'd like to give a definition of Place and Form of Power :

Places could be important buildings or institutions that represent a certain form of power,

Power is the ability to influence people's behaviour.

To what extent can we say that the media have a positive and négative power ?

My presentation will fall into 2 parts :

Fist of all, i will concentrate on the positive power of media

Then I will be interested in tthe negative power of media

First the media allow to inform the worlwide of the topical. For example the end of a dictatorship, an election of a new president, a death of a known person or another natural disaster.

The television, the newspapers, the awarness campaigne, the radio or internet allow to convey all these news. Indeed, we can have this topical on our deskop, laptop or smartphone. The Media plays an important role in forming our personality, enriching our knowledge. They can be perceived as an entertainment.The individuals can so realize the reality of the life. Without the media, we could not getting connected all around the world. The young people can be sensibilized from an early age, they know then what is fair or unfair. Media seem to have many positive aspect.

Then, the media can also have harmful impact on society. Sometimes, they show only what they wish. Some image can offend younger, especially for children who are able to access Internet material inappropriate for their age. More the violence in movies or in video games can lead to real violence, that's why many teenagers already have a criminal record. Internet can facilitate an invasion of privacy in particular on chat rooms, réseaux sociaux. Many person are casualties or the target of bullying. This can grow to depression or suicide. The worst, is that people spent their time on Internet. They are focused on the media and don't realize the danger. They consider it as an entertainment, a loisure.

I'd like to end by saying that, to my mind : The media are interesting and necessary for the preservation of the democracy, however there is a happy medium.

It is necessary to learn to sort fact from fiction and to have a critical thinking.

It is important that people fight against certain danger unacceptable of media.

So The media have a power with positive and negative aspects.
