Je suis tout à fait conscient que cela demande du temps et je vous remercie BEAUCOUP pour toute aide apportée. Pickwick : Jingle ! What a surprise! Jingle: Mister Pickwick, I’m glad to see you ! Pickwick: Me too! We haven’t seen each other for a long time! Jingle: Yes, it was two years ago. Pickwick: How are you? You seem to be doing fine. Jingle: I had never felt better, thank you. And what about you, how are you? Pickwick: I’m fine! Jingle: And your friends? Pickwick: They are fine too. Mister Winkle and Arabella got married, Mister Snodgrass and Emily too and Sam and Mary had two adorable twins after their marriage. Jingle: What a wonderful news! What about you? Are you currently in love?(je ne sais pas si c’est trop osé comme question ? ou plutôt :Did you find love ?) Pickwick: Oh no! I’m too old for this! Jingle: There is no age for love! Pickwick: Perhaps… But I’ve no time for that. A wife would complicate my life. Jingle: But love brings so much! You will change your mind when you meet your soul mate! Pickwick: These are words of a loving man. Jingle: Yes, I found a wonderful woman who calls Jenny. She works as servant. I’m fond of her and I’m going to marry her in two months. Pickwick: I’m happy for you. Otherwise, what are you up to(what are you doing)? Jingle: I arrived from British India a week ago . I work over there in a cotton plantation as overseer. Pickwick: Are you happy with your job(ou est-ce mieux :do you like your job ?)? Jingle: Oh, yes and I want to thank you about that, I had my job thanks to you and your friend. Pickwick: You’re welcome! Jingle: You have really changed my life! I’m not the same man I was and I will never be this awful man. Pickwick: I’m very happy about that. And what does exactely your job consist? Jingle: I was first a little employee in a cotton farm but now I manage all a team. The job is very interesting. Pickwick: Perfect! And why did you return to London? Jingle: I wanted to visit my family and to introduce my fiancée (?) to them. Pickwick: Great! How long are you staying in London? Jingle: Just over two weeks. Pickwick: Would you and your fiancée come to dinner home? Jingle: I would be very happy. Pickwick: Could you come tomorrow? Jingle: Tomorrow, with pleasure. Pickwick: I could invite Mister Snodgrass, Mister Winkle, Mister Tupman, Sam and their wives. Jingle: I don’t think it’s a good idea. I’m not sure that those gentlemen want to see me. Pickwick: But yes, they have forgiven you for a long time. Jingle: So, I would be happy to come. Pickwick: I will come and get you with the carriage at 8 o’clock. Jingle: Ok (peut-on dire ça à cette époque?) See you tomorrow ! Pickwick : See you tomorrow! Merci de tout cœur!
