J'ai des exerices à faire sur le génitif ou le cas possessif ('s).

Je l'ai ai fais mais j'aurais besoin d'une correction si possible.

1. Complete with the right answer.

2. Rewrite the sentences using a genitive when possible.

a. The car of Mr Smith will be delivered soon.> The car Mr Smith's will be delivered soon.

b. The post on Monday was late. > ce n'est pas possible si ?!

c. The life of this saint is ofter recounted. > The life this saint's is ofter recounted.

d. The bedroom of the boys is in a mess. > ce n'est pas possible si ?!

e. I'm going to the shop of the butcher. > I'm going to the shop of the butcher's.

f. Hairstyles for women often change. > ce n'est pas possible si ?!

g. The cousin of my neighbour was arrested. > The cousin's of my neighbour was arrested.

h. The Jaguar of our neighbours was stolen. > The Jaguars our neighbours was stolen.

i. The speech of the President of India will be recorded. > ce n'est pas possible si ?!

3. Translate into English

a. La soeur de David est infirmière. > David's sister is a nurse.

b. As-tu lu le Times aujourd'hui ? > Have you got red the times today ?

c. Attends de voir les photos de Paméla. > Wait to see the pictures of Pamela. Je n'y arrive pas avec le génitif la..

d. Le studio de Catherine est magnifique > The studio Catherine's is wonderful.

e. Le collier du chat se trouve à l'entrée. > The cat's collar is located at the entrance.

f. Le discours du Premier ministre fut très apprécié > The Prime Minister's speech was very much appreciated.

g. Le dernier tableau de Turner a été vendu pour 15 millions de livres > The last painting by Turner was sold for 15 million pounds.

h. La maison des Jones est à deux heures de marche > Jone's home is..
