Marabou Posté(e) le 17 décembre 2010 Signaler Posté(e) le 17 décembre 2010 Bonjour, Je me parmet de solliciter votre aide car j'avais un paragraphe à faire à partir d'un livre sur le sujet suivant: " Looking at the book cover, justify the title and subtitle: 'The Other side of Truth' and 'A lie has seven winding paths, the truth one straight road'. Use the story of Sade and Femi you have read so far to analyse the ways we lie. Explain the children's motive. What would you have done in Sade's place?" Voici ce que j'ai fait, merci de me corriger mes erreurs ! On bookcover we can read the title "The other side of truth" and the subtitle "'A links has seven winding paths, one straight road the Truth". Firstly we can understand many things in this title once started reading the book. We may first think that the main characters and particulary the father was trying to show the "real truth" of political and electoral life in the country by writing articles in an independent newspaper and not the "false truth" advanced by the corrupt government. But we can also consider that "the other side of truth" refers to the fact that their father is innocent in his wife's death, as police suspect, is also a false truth. Then try to understand the message that Beverley Naidoo tried to send us in choosing this subtitle: "A lie has has seven widing paths, the Truth one straight road". Saying "the truth one straight road" to say that the truth can go straight in life, that's what makes being who you are and go wherever we want, to achieve its objectives . The truth would be an engine of peace, tranquility and dignity. We find this situation at the beginning of the novel, where children's education is built around the truth, honor and dignity. However, often the man to lie. But once the man is lying, he must bear all the consequences of that and pay attention to the coherence of his sentiments. But if man is honest, he often regrets having lied even though it is sometimes necessary. The way Sade has lied is a good example of the various ways we use in order not to lie completely. She simply obeys to the orders of his father, but she said nothing and was "trapped" in the office of political refugees. By giving the name of his mother, she's just lying half and maintains its moral sense. Sade must constantly ensure the complicity of her brother, she ended up saying the "real" truth to the lawyer to whom she trusted. To conclude, if I were in that situation, I probably would have done things similar, I would have lied. In addition, Sade does not lie completely and lying it makes it one of the finest human gestures: Saving the life of a man (Here her father). The little girl is tormented by the honesty of his youth. In fact, an adult would certainly doesn't hesitate to lie. Probably the most moral of men is "corrupted" by life. Merci de votre aide ! Marabou !

Mais avant tout, une très bonne année à vous ainsi qu'a l'ensemble des E-profs de E-Bahut ! Alors, je me permet de vouis (Re-) solliciter au sujet du passage incompréhensible (Saying "the truth one straight road" to say that the truth can go straight in life, that's what makes being who you are and go wherever we want, to achieve its objectives), alors j'ai essayé de le reformuler et voici ce que je pensais écrire: Beverley Naidoo probably uses the phrase "the truth one straight road" to say that the truth should be a point of reference (landmark ?) for man, it allows him to determine his future. But the truth is also the element that allows it to be really itself and be judged by others as he is !

Marabou !
