After a newspaper article published in today’s edition of Euronews, Titan Stores has to face a strong crisis. In fact, our company is suspected of selling illegal copies of the computer game Race against Time.

 recommendations to avoid future incidents of this nature

Findings

Our company is suspected of selling illegal copies of the computer game Race against Time. Actually, our company bought theses copies from a supplier based in the Netherlands. He offered us a discount of 30% which we were obliged to accept. In fact, due to a strong competition in our branch, the head of the company has told the buyers to search games with a moderate price. Moreover, our company had to make over around 2,000 employees redundant to avoid any bankrupt and try to survive in this field.

Thus, Titan Stores has to face a strong crisis because some journalists have spread the news quickly without asking us for more details. That is why we have asked to hold a press conference to explain how we are dealing with the crisis and answer their questions.

- Moreover, we have decided to create a crisis management team with some external experts to manage and resolve it as soon as possible.

- We have also tried to find out ourselves what happened with this game.

- After a meeting with the chief buyer of our company, we have found that the buyer who placed the original order of this game was a buyer who left the company.

- We have contacted the manufacturer of the game but he was not helpful. He said he was still considering what action to take regarding the illegal copies.

Conclusion

For our company, it is not conceivable that we can sell illegal copies of a game. That is why we are still trying to know what happened with this game, and put all our efforts to avoid any sanction from the SPSF, otherwise Titan Stores is going to be in serious troubles.

Actions for the future

- Let the crisis management team dealing with this crisis and give it all the necessary means;

- Make a board of suppliers which goal is going to check every supplier to be sure that none of them is not doing perfectly its job;

- Create a supervisor job which role is to check if the orders made by the buyers are correct;

- Make an advertising campaign to regain the trust of customers;

- Make monthly reports to show our progress to the SPSF;
