You have to tell him your feel about the difference between your experience with your previous boss and him. But before this meeting you have to prepare your file: you have to show him why things are not nice between him and you. You have to think like him (why he does not like me?). Try to make a list of your qualities and defaults with objectivity, explain why you have been promoted and what you are doing now. The misunderstanding is maybe because you do not know each other. He does not know your capacities and he does not know what you are expecting from him and it is the same for you.
