Bonjour pouvez vous corriger la conjugaison des temps qui sont entre parenthèses ?

As her grandmother (had lived) on the other side side of the forest, she (had) a long walk to do and (was) glad of the company when the wolf (offered) to come with her for part of the way. Of course her mother (had told) her not to talk to strangers, but she (felt) that there couldn't be any danger in this kind gentleman who (walked) beside her. They (had chated) like life-long friends for quite some time, she (gave) him directions to her grandmother's cottage without realizing that she had done so, and the wolf ( took) a short cut through the forest and ( got ) there before her. When she (had opened) the the door, he (lied) in the bed, dressed in her grandmother's clothes and she (didn't recognize) him. It (not/to cross) her mind that he (ate) the old lady and thaht he (was etaing) soon her.
