bonjour à tous, Alors nouveau boulot en anglais, nouvelles fautes. Après une relecture je pense qu'il me reste des fautes, pouvez-vous me les indiquer svp. Merci d'avance,

Have a good day.

This article deals with the problem of Chinese companies, which are exploiting workers in Africa. In fact, with its huge development, China had to move in various parts of the world, especially in Africa to satisfy the demand of its customers and to square up with the increase of the salary.

The journalist Peter Hitchens through an article published in the London’s Daily mail newspaper denounces some Chinese companies which are exploiting African workers, and in some cases, these companies are treating them like slaves. In particular, two African countries are mentioned: the Congo and Zambia. The first one is a chaotic country ruled by a despot whereas the second one is democratic and has a political and legal structure. Therefore, to establish its companies in Congo, China did not have any problems. Then, to embed its firms in Zambia, China had to use several stratagems. Indeed, China cancelled some of the country’s debts, built stadiums, schools or hospitals, and facilitated exportations for Zambia.

However, the relocation of Chinese companies is not without some collateral damages. In fact, many workers die or are injured due to their primitive conditions in mines or in factories. Likewise, many of workers are children, and companies pay them around $3.00 for a very long and hard day. Chinese employees of these firms are allowed to kick them if they do not work fast. This system looks like ways of ancient slave empires or the Middle Ages. To go on with these methods, companies give huge briberies to the local and national officials.

I think that this problem is just not concentrate in Africa and uses only by Chinese companies. Indeed, some Europeans or Americans firms are exploiting children in Asia for example. Figures show us that there were between 27 million and 200 million people in the world who worked in slavery in 2007. The modern slavery is due to ourselves. Thus we want to have products with a low price, at the right moment at the right place, so firms are obliged to compress their cost and like this they use some workers as slaves and give them poor work conditions. If people do not change their mind and if nobody take care of others, slavery will exist for a long time.

To conclude, we can say that with the power and money, anybody can do what he wants in the world of today. It is amplify by the globalisation because people do not care about others even if they know that there are problems : nobody care about the problem in Darfur whereas they know the problems of this part of the world. It is our society and if things does not change, problems will be here for a long time.
