Bonjour à tous,

J'ai un petit résumé à faire en anglais, et cela serait sympa si vous pouviez me dire les fautes que vous trouvez ;)

Merci d'avance, and have fun

This article deals with the problem of binge drinking in United Kingdom and the fact that pubs and clubs will lose their licences if they break the drinking laws twice or if their customers disturb the law and order.

Indeed, some people have abused of the 24-hour licensing law and we can see an increase of unruly behaviour between 3am and 6am since this law have been ratify in United Kingdom. To fight this problem, the government of Gordon Brown have introduced new measures. Pubs and clubs can receive a yellow or a red card like in soccer. The yellow card represents a warning to call to order pubs and clubs and the red card corresponds to a loss of their licence. If an off-licence sells some alcohol to under-age customers, it loses its licence after two offences. People can receive a fine from £500 to £2,500, after have a binge drinking in a public area.

The Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced a review of the licensing Act. In fact, he said that he would not hesitate to change policies if he thought it necessary. He thinks that cheap alcohol is one of the reasons of the bad behaviour of some people. Figures show that 500 pubs and clubs have received the 24-hour licences. But most of them are hotels, which serve drinks only to their guests.

But this problem is not a problem only in United Kingdom. Actually all countries try to fight against this problem. For example, some countries introduce legislation to spot young people consuming alcohol. Like in Europe the legal drinking age is usually 16 to 18 and in United States the legal drinking age is 21. But others measures can prevent the problem of the alcohol. In the United States, there was an attempt from 1920 to 1933 to eliminate the consumption of alcoholic beverages through national prohibition of their manufacture and sale. Many Muslim countries, such as Saudi Arabia, prohibit alcohol for religious reasons.

Alcohol is not just a problem of “people doing noise in public areas”, it is a problem for health. In fact, Initially, alcohol generally produces feelings of relaxation and cheerfulness, but further consumption can lead to blurred vision and coordination problems. After excessive drinking, unconsciousness can occur and extreme levels of consumption can lead to alcohol poisoning and death. Some people can be addict of alcohol and most trouble can happen to them such as health problems, a loss of social life, depression…

Moreover, a major problem is when people drink alcohol before driving their car. With the effects of alcohol quoted in the previous paragraph, many accidents happen. That’s why most countries have laws against drunk driving. Punishments usually include fines, temporary loss of driving license, and imprisonment.

To conclude, we can say that alcohol should be good if people are reasonable. Consumed alcohol with moderation !

Conformément à ta demande, je me suis borné à baliser les erreurs que j'ai remarquées.

:grec1: pour une omission, en rouge principalement des fautes de grammaire ou de langue.

Te lire fut un réel plaisir. It was a real change! ;)
