Elle <n'a jamais utilisé de se plaindre> ne se plaignait jamais ! * Si le preterit ne te pose aucun problème et c'est bien, la tournure used to + infinitif t'en pose un. - used to + infinitif (à la forme interrogative : did + sujet + use to + infinitif) se rend en français la plupart du temps par un imparfait dit imparfait d'habitude. Normalement, cette habitude passée a cessé au moment où l'on parle. Ex. Ten years ago, I used to smoke. Il y a dix ans je fumais.(sous-entendu : à présent je ne fume plus) * Note que cette locution n'a rien à voir avec to use + nom = se servir de/utiliser qqch. Tu aurais tendance à te mélanger les pédales. Ex.Ten years ago I used a kite to play. Il y a dix ans, je me servais d'un cerf-volant pour jouer. * Note cependant qu'on peut parfois conserver la locution "avoir l'habitude de", comme dans la phrase d), pour mettre en relief l'habitude ou l'absence d'habitude passée.
