martin luther king junior was born in alabama in 1929. his mission was obtain equality and complete freedom for black people.under his leadership, the civil right movement won important victories against segregation laws that prevented blacks from voting and from attending the same schools as whites.King went to jail many times and faced death threats, but he continued to fight for civil rights.he had many enemies. Some black people hated him because he refused to use more and violent methods.MLK received the nobel prize in 1964.he was assassinated in 1968 by fanatic.
