Merci de me corriger et me conseiller. I'm going to talk about the notion spaces and exchanges. An exchange is the act of giving or receiving something in substitution for something else. In order to illustrate this notion, I have chosen to talk about social networks, with two documents. The first document, "Culture performance", is an article from "The Courier Post Online". The second document "Flash looting" . is an article from CNN. Do today's social networks give people too much power? They are different platforms or websites that people can create personal profiles, share pictures, videos, and text updates to their friends, family, and people from all over the world. We are able to rekindle old friendships, share family photos, special events, we can even find love. As we can see in the first document, "Culture performance", about 650 accomplices came to the Center City site in order to do a flashmob. A flashmob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and seeming pointless act for a brief time, and then quickly disperse Flashmobs are organized via social media. Social networks give people a lot of power. As we can see in the second document, the Arab Spring was initiated on Facebook pages, orchestrated through Twitter accounts, and video recorded on cell phones. Social media can give a way to unify angry crowds. I thinks that one of the biggest problems with the social media craze is that people are becoming more and more addicted to using it. Social networking can also ruin relationships as people may get jealous if they find out their boyfriend or girlfriend is exchanging messages with other people. Cyber Bullying is also a growing problem. In conclusion, yes, I think that today's social networks give people too much power. Social networks have advantages and desadvantages. We have to use them in a good way and with moderation.
