Hello guys,
Today it's my turn to share my song with you, so the song that i've choose is If I ain't got you by Alicia keys,  so let's begin quickly without getting you bored …
Why did i choose?
When Mister Presa talked about this project for the first time, i directly determined in my head that i will choose this song...

Actually, there's a personal story behind…
So i know this song for 5 years or kind of... Well, i was on 1st grade i think, I’m not so sure but what I remember so well is the feeling that I felt  first time i listened to this song.

I was amazed, fascinated, seduced by this song like:
<< OMG! I literally do not understand the lyrics, but whatever? I do have to search the meaning of the lyrics! >>
I was pretty like that, well i was listening to other songs too of course , but this one was very special to me, i don't know why, surely because it smached so good with my tastes...
For example ,when I discover a new song on Youtube or on radio or anywhere else, I get bored of after one week, two weeks,… But this song has a magic in itself, I’m still listening to it ever single day for 5 years now. It’s like my morning coffee , if I do not have it, I’ll have a bad day, You know what I mean?

So to resume, this song is one of my first heart stroke, i really really love it, it will be a great honor for me  to present it to you...so here we go for the analysis of the artist and the song...

Who is the artist?

Alicia keys, the singer of the song, is definitely the new queen of R&B since the past 10 years. She is american, she was born in New York and now she is 38 years old.
She became famous at the age of nineteen thanks to her amazing gifts as playing piano and of course thanks to her amazing strong voice.
Unlike many of the pop-music contemporaries, Alicia not only sings, but writes and produces her own musics.
She is also an actress. She played in some movies. And  For those who know the series “Empire”, she made an appearance on season 2 of this series in 2015. And now,she is a coach on The Voice USA since last year.
Only at the age of 16, she was graduated and accepted at the Columbia University. In 1999, at the age of 19, a big explosion: Alicia was discovered by some music producers. She started to publish her first songs. Besides, she had been the prey of many critics because of the lyrics maturity in her songs…but it didn't prevent her to win several Grammys for her album, including Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song, Best R&B Album at the same period.... in 2003 she published her second album which is The Diary of Alicia Keys, which contains too the song that i will talk about shortly.... Hmm I have nothing to add for the biography, she just continued to publish her albums and songs, and to win awards.

About the song…
The song idea came to Alicia after that her dearest friend Aliyah passed away. In an interview, Alicia said that this song can be resume by one phrase: What really matters and what doesn’t…
Basically, “If I ain’t got you” is about being in love and not caring about material things or anything like that because all we need is the presence of a lover or a friend, naturally. And how you could have everything in the world yet still be unhappy without that one special person. I think, it’s the most romantic meaningful song ever.

So that’s all I have got for you guys, thank you for your precious attention

Bonjour,

i've choose >> I’ve chosen

Why did i choose? >> Why did I choose it?

…that i will choose this song... >> …that I would choose this song. << concordance des temps

So i know this song for 5 years or kind of.>> So I’ve known this song for 5 years or kind of << present perfect avec for/since

So to resume, this song is one of my first heart stroke >> ... to sum up/summarize  to resume = faux ami = reprendre/recommencer une activité/l'école, etc.

Well, i was on 1st grade i think,>> Well I was in 1st grade I think

I do have to search the meaning of the lyrics! >> I do have to look for/try to find/understand the meaning of the lyrics! << search n'est pas vraiment faux, juste excessif dans le contexte

surely because it smached so good with my tastes... >> …it suited my tastes so well... << match = égaler

on Youtube or on a radio or anywhere else

I get bored of after one week, two weeks,… >> I get tired of it

I’m still listening to it ever single day for 5 years now >> I’ve still been listening to it every day for 5 years now << present perfect encore

Alicia keys, the singer of the song, is definitely the new queen of R&B since the past 10 years >> … has definitely beenfor the past 10 years << present perfect, toujours !

And now she is a coach on The Voice USA since last year. >> …she’s been a coach… << Idem

Only at the age of 16, she was graduated and accepted at the Columbia University. >> She was only 16 when she graduated and went to Columbia university.

In 1999, at the age of 19, a big explosion: Alicia was discovered by some music producers. >> Three years later some music producers picked her out and launched her career.

but it didn't prevent her to win several Grammys for her album >> ...prevent her from being awarded...

, which also contains too the song that i will talk about shortly ....

The song idea came to Alicia after that her dearest friend Aliyah had passed away. In an interview, Alicia said that this song can be resume summed up/summarized by one phrase: What really matters and what doesn’t…
