I’m going to talk about the notion of myths and heroes. I'm going to use a few documents that deal with myths and heroes. A hero is a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievement or noble qualities. It can be the main character of a book or a film or person with superhuman qualities. It can also be a modern day hero a person who has a performed a heroic action our own personal hero our role model, who we look up to. We may ask the question: How have myths and heroes changed our lives?

Heroes influence us throughout our lives, from childhood to adulthood.

I-                  Childhood

Children need to identify. The father, the mother but sometimes they take to model their heroes like Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman. It is a positive and powerful identification figure allowing them to enhance, to feel stronger and invincible. The child will be able to live the scenarios and fantasies that he is not living in reality. He will sometimes allow it to surpass in some events of his childhood life and represents a landmark for identifying structuring self-confidence. Children, confronted with frustrations and fears in a world where these are adults who decide, be able to escape into their imaginary worlds where they are, in their tours in power positions, with the control of what they live. It is preferable for children to identify with a hero who wears a suit, ca their allows dressing and changing identities. With their costume, they change skin. In fiction, these characters use precisely their costume to become super heroes. Without them, they appear as any. It is as if their costumes their gave their personalities strong and courageous. They can then dream to be those they admire and become themselves again when they decide. This is a way to escape from reality.

A moral moved and it is easier for them to make the distinction between good and evil. Super heroes generally represent the good and fight evil, they have powers and often full of goodness. It is good ways to strengthen the capacity of distinction of the children who, through their hero will be able invest positive images.

Boys looking for a picture of identifying strong and combative, reinforcing the sense of power such as Batman or Superman. And a father represents virility, strength, and authority in General. Girls will turn toward the female and brilliant images as Wonder Woman. Indeed, girls will seek to develop their femininities and be more beautiful. It is also that transmit tales and cartoons where there is often a princess dream girls. The trick is to allow the child to identify with positive images suitable for his age.

II-                 Adulthood

When you become adult our superheroes change, be more escape from reality but well face. Somehow it becomes us even to superheroes; we must solve them facing multiple problems and a lapse of time. This is the complexity of becoming adult. It no longer has the same focus that as a child, we are interested in real people who move the world as Steve Jobs, Martin Luther King. Thanks to them the world takes a major step forward both in policy and in technology.

For example Steve Jobs is the co-founder of Apple; he embodies the American dream since only he managed to build an empire of determination and hard work. He was not so much an inventor as a visionary who used other people to invention to revolutionize a computer world. Beside he galvanized his staff finally his company Apple is a mixture of art and technology. It may not be a hero for all, but it remains nevertheless a legend.

Martin Luther King was a non-violent activist for the civil rights of blacks; he played a major role in the emancipation of African Americans and the awareness of the injustice of segregation in the United States.  He fought for his beliefs, he did hear his ideas, which was not easy at the time and even less if it was black. These people are heroes and to date they have become myths because their story will be told for a long time.

Conclusion:

Whether child or adult the heroes have an important place in our lives. There is not the same point of view since adults are mature enough to make the difference between the imaginary and the real.

I-                  Childhood
