She remembers (leave) the party and (feel) ashamed at his behaviour. RÉPONSE: She remembers leaving the party and <felt> feeling ashamed at his behaviour. 2.The father went on and on (accuse) him and (threaten) him. RÉPONSE: The father went on and on accusing him and threatening him. OK 3.How she loved (ride) through the countryside and (come) across the old villages! RÉPONSE: How she loved riding through the countryside and coming across the old villages! OK 4.(Read) and (play) the piano were her favourite pastimes. RÉPONSE: Reading and playing the piano were her favourites pastimes. OK 5.She would have liked to (know) her servants more and (play) with their children. RÉPONSE: She would have liked to know her servants more and play<ed> with their children. => She would've liked to impose l'infinitif pour les 2 verbes. EXERCICE 2. I caught him looking at HIMSELF in the windowpane. OK 2.The children enjoyed THEMSELVES at the beach. OK 3.I made all this work MYSELF. OK 4.Every morning he shaved <HIMSELF> and dressed <HIMSELF> in a hurry. EXERCICE 3. (bear) RÉPONSE: She couldn't bear(stand) seeing her servants <bearing> so ill-treated. RÉPONSE: She didn't <tought> think that chatting with natives was reprehensible. (make England richer) RÉPONSE: This empire <had been> was made to make England richer. => had been made = avait été fait. RÉPONSE: <That> The life that she was leading was like living in an illusion. OK => The a souvent valeur de démonstratif. 5.Je me suis retrouvé en pleine forêt et je ne me rappelais plus du chemin.
