c'est une expression écrite sur une ex colonie anglaise, j'ai choisi le cameroun...

Te fourth february one thousand nine hundred and sixteen ( j'ai du mal avec les chiffres...), french and english shared the territory of Cameroun between them. English divided their ground into two parts: Northern cameroons and southern cameroons. In the southern camerouns, english authorities let native-autorities to administer their population according to their traditions. Indeed, they prefer exploit economic resources. So, they were accused of neglecting their colony.

In may 1949, cameroons national federation ( CNF ) was created. It was the first political party and claimed the independance of the southern cameroon and the reunification of the two cameroun. In 1953, some leaders like Mbile and Dibongué left the CNF and created the Kamerun National Congres ( KNC ) because they wanted to speed up the independance.

The claims were taken seriously by english autorities wich organized, in february 1961 a referendum. In the majority, the population wanted the independance of southern cameroons and the reunification of the 2 cameroon. Meetings took place between north and south inhabitants to talk about their new cohabitacion. Independance of cameroun was declared the fisrt october 1961 and his reunification followed immediatly.
