Bonjour, nous devons présenter un gangster anglophone au choix. La présentation se déroule en trois parties ; biographie, carrière criminelle et profil criminel. Le travail ci dessous est à rendre à l'écrit, je recopierai le tout sur une affiche et joindrai des photos mais je veux d'abord éviter certaines fautes d'anglais en faisant appel à vous. Si vous pouviez alors juste corriger les fautes de conjugaison, grammaire, syntaxe ect...

Biography :
Daniel John Greene nicknamed Danny was a Irish-American Gangster. He was born in 1933 in Ohio, USA. Three days after his birth, his mother died. His father drank heavily and became unemployed. Unable to provide for Daniel, he places him in a Catholic orphanage. Finally Daniel's father married an other woman. They started their own family and brought Daniel home. But Danny hated her and made her life a nightmare. Then he goes and lives with his grandfather for the rest of his childhood. At his catholic school, he made many friends in particular nuns and priests. He was also a very good at basket ball and baseball and played in his school's teams.
Expelled from high school in 1951, he enlisted in the United States Marines. Promoted to the rank of corporal in 1953. He was honorably discharged after one year.
In the early 1960s, Greene worked as a dock. In his free time he readed about Ireland and its history. He began to think of himself as a "Celtic warrior". Reading about such warriors should have inspired his criminal ambitions.

Criminal career :
In 1961, Daniel was chosen for being the local union's president and it's from now on than his criminal career began. He used this authority for racket the employes. Besides, he led many violents strikes against the employers. One time, he threated to murder patron's childrens. Finally the police found enought proofs about his offenses and arrested him. He was fired and received a fine. Afterwards he returned to his rackets and the FBI recruited him as an informant. He gave many informations to the FBI, but only that which concerned his concurrents. Protected by his informant status, Greene increased his criminal activities.
He is hired by the popular Alex Birns as henchman.
In May 68, under Birns' orders, Greene had to kill a man. He decided to plant a bomb under his car, but Unfamiliar with the detonator, the bomb exploded on him. He was thrown nearly 20 feet and by magic he survived. . Afterwars, Daniel increased very well in gangster's world and his conccurents wanted to kill him. He formed his own crew of Irish-American gangsters. They were called the Celtic Club. They created illegal money games and earned a lot of cash. His friend, Alex Birns thought than Danny was too important and take the decision to kill him. He took a contract with a hired killer for murder Daniel but the assassination failled. Greene's found an unexploded bomb in his car. He disassembled the bomb himself, removed the dynamite, and brought the rest of the package to the Cleveland police. A protection was offered to Greene, but he refused. He also refused to hand over the bomb and said "I'm going to send this back to the old bastard that sent it to me"[ Suspecting that Birns was behind it, Greene decided to hit back. Two weeks later, Birns was killed by a his car's explosion. Greene and his group competited with the Italian's mafia. They tried to kill him a lot of time and finally made a success the 9^th attempt. This time the bomb had been planted in the automobile parked next to Greene's car. It exploded and killed Greene instantly. The story of Daniel Greene was ended but he is still popular because he resisted like a hero against the Italian mafia.


Criminal Profil :
Greene was a nervous man. He was scared about nobody. He had a difficult childhood, his mum died because of him. His father was a heavy drinker, he was not in ideal conditions. He was not good at school and often fought with Italian-American students. This is why he developed an intense dislike for Italians the rest of his life. He was also very proud of Ireland, he was known to drive a green car, wear green jackets, and write with green ink pens. In his free time he readed about Ireland and its history. He began to think of himself as a "Celtic warrior". Reading about such warriors should have inspired his criminal ambitions.
